Assistant Director of Nursing Services - San Antonio, TX: Morningside Ministries. Job Summary: Organizes, directors, and supervises nursing services personnel concerned with the care of residents. Responsible for the nursing care rendered to the residents of the facility. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing or nursing education. Current registration with the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners (LVN/RN). 2. Training and Experience: Supervisory experience in a health care facility desired. 3. Job Knowledge: Knowledge of good personnel policies and practices. Advanced knowledge of general nursing theory and practice for better understanding of resident care problems. Director of Hospice Clinical Services - Abilene, TX: The Director of Hospice Clinical Services is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and evaluating all patient services.  Involved in compliance, clinical operations, management, staff development, quality assurance, financial management as well as act as a clinical liason with the Executive Director / Agency Manager. Adherence to code of conduct and business ethics is always mandatory. The Requirements of the Director of Hospice Clinical Services are as Follows: Must have experience in providing services to terminally ill patients and demonstrate a commitment to the hospice philosophy of care; must possess a valid state license and RN Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university; must meet all state and federal regulatory requirements; must have proven leadership ability with three (3) years of clinical experience in community health or in medical surgical nursing; knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to hospice; must meet all local health regulations, pass post-offer drug test and pass post-employment physical exam if required. The Responsibilities of the Director of Hospice Clinical Services are as Follows: manage hospice team members; recruit and hire a sufficient number of qualified nursing staff to deliver efficient patient care; prepare and adhere to an annual operating budget for the department; monitor compliance with an effective medical record documentation system. MDS Care Plan Coordinator - San Antonio, TX: Morningside Ministries. Job summary: To assess each resident both prior to admission and following placement at Morningside Chandler Estates. Completion of the Minimum Data Set with Interdisciplinary Health Care Plan initiation and concomitant paper compliance necessary for reimbursement protocols. Communication with all members of the health care team is paramount to develop and maintain a high quality interdisciplinary team approach for every resident at Morningside Chandler Estates. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Education: Graduate of an accredited program of nursing education. 2. Training and Experience: Experienced in the care of the geriatric patient as evidenced by completed courses and clinical practice. 3. Certifications/Licenses: L.V.N. with a current license in the state of Texas. 4. Job knowledge: Proven ability to communicate effectively. RN/LVN Medicare/Tile Nurse (MDS Medicare Coord.) - San Antonio, TX: Morningside Ministries. Job summary: To provide high standards of nursing care in a compassionate way, within sound economic guidelines, to residents of The Chandler Estate in Laurel Heights, by planning, directing, delegating, implementing, coordinating and evaluating care delivery and personnel giving the care. To insure documentation and information meet Medicare regulation guidelines. To insure appropriate, timely, accurate information is provided so as to assure MDS documentation is current and accurate. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Education: A BS degree in nursing is preferable, although a diploma or AD graduate is acceptable. 2. Training and Experience: Prior health care facility experience desired. 3. Certification/Licenses: Registered Nurse - Licensed by Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners. 4. Job Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of general nursing theory and practice, particularly in the area of geriatrics for better understanding or resident care problems.
