Director of Assisted Living and Memory Care - Boerne, TX: (Morningside Ministries) The Director of Assisted Living and Memory Care is responsible for ensuring the general well-being of residents through the delivery of high quality services in a manner that is consistent with the philosophy of Assisted Living and that complies with applicable state laws and regulations. Qualifications: 1) Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing or nursing education. Current registration with the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners. 2) Training and Experience: Must possess high degree of interpersonal relations skills and capability of relating to a variety of people and personalities. Considerable initiative, judgment, and leadership skills are also required. 3) Certification/Licenses: LVN/RN - Licensed by Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners. Performance Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): 1) Hires, train s, supervise, motivate, and evalu ate staff to ensure the provision of high quality services to residents in a manner that is consistent with the philosophy of assisted living, 2) Plans and delegates work assignments assuring scheduling on a 24-hour basis, 3) Provides case management services to residents, 4) Coordinates move-in and orients new residents to the facility, ensuring satisfactory integration into the facility/community, 5) Investigates resident and employee incidents, identifies safety hazards, and institutes corrective action in a timely manner, 6) Monitors resident service plans, records information to determine quality of service to residents, and directs staff to implement needed change, 7) Monitors and maintains records reflecting residents' physical and mental condition. Reports significant changes in a resident's condition to his or her physician, 8) Documents resident incidents, 9) Coordinates wellness clinic activities, 10) Support and participates in the resident-centered acti vity program, 11) Orients new staf f. Develops in-service training and provides ongoing training of staff in order to provide high quality service consistent with the philosophy of assisted living, 12) Promotes and facilitates interactive problem solving with staff.
