Register Today for the 2010 Leadership Conference:

"Re-energizing the Workplace: You, Your Team and Your Finances"
February 17-19, 2010
T Bar M Resort and Conference Center, New Braunfels, TX

Join us for our annual conference in a retreat-type setting for nursing home administrators, assisted living managers, housing managers, nurses, social workers, dietary staff and any other managers within the aging services setting. This is an all-inclusive package that includes hotel room, meals, breaks, hand-outs and continuing education credit. This will be a very interactive meeting and we highly encourage you to bring the management team from your organization to participate in this educational experience.  It will be held at T Bar M Resort and Conference Center in New Braunfels.

This year's conference will feature speaker Jody Urquhart.  Jody has been presenting her keynote addresses around the world for over 10 years.  She is passionate about spreading the message of fun and meaningful work. Annually she addresses over 40 organizations and associations, and she is a top motivational keynote speaker.  Jody will speak on topics relating to re-energizing the workplace and your staff.

The conference will also include a presentation by the TAHSA Leadership Institute Fellows.  The Fellows are currently participating in a leadership program for members who have been selected by their supervisors because of their desire to develop and grow as a leader in aging services.

Don't miss this opportunity to educate your valuable management staff!  Click here for more information or to register today.

20th Annual Art Is Ageless Contest and Exhibit:
Deadline Approaching!

Make sure your community is planning to participate in TAHSA's art contest!  This year marks the program's 20th anniversary, and there is much to celebrate!  We at TAHSA believe that this project is one of the most positive tools we can utilize to highlight the positives of the aging process.  It educates the public on the value of the creativity that can come with living long, healthy lives.

Click here to read about the Art Is Ageless program, and click here to download the 2010 entry brochure.  The  brochure includes rules, a timeline, and entry forms.  Initial entries are due on January 29, 2010.

For more information or if your community still needs to designate an Art Show Coordinator, please contact Christina Scheidel at (512) 467-2242 or christina@tahsa.org.
